Take on the relatively easy route up to Ropers Lookout 📱(10km, Red) a great introductory trail run to get you familiar with the area whilst leaving enough gas in the tank for the adventure’s planned for day 2. Finish your run by stopping in at the Milch Cafe Bar for a nutritious post-run feed and drink before heading off for the night.
Two great trail run options
1. For those looking at a long adventurous day out, take on the Hotham to Falls Creek Alpine Crossing 📱40km’s of high alpine running starting from the tiny ski-town of Hotham southwest of Falls Creek.
2. For those wanting something closer, head out on Exploring Falls Creek 📱a 12km loop beginning and ending in town.
Finish up the day by rewarding yourself with a visit to Astra Day Spa to relax and unwind after a day's hard work and then make your way to The Last Hoot for an Italian Feed and Drink.
Your final day again gives you two options:
1. Will see you exploring the Heathy Spur 📱trail, an easy-going 10km (Blue) out and back route that is a true high country alpine trail, taking you across the natural landscape of the Bogong High plains and through open grassland and snow gum bush.
2. Mt McKay summit 📱(11.7km, Red) takes you to the highest point in Falls Creek and the highest drivable peak in Australia (1842m). With stunning 360 views, we highly recommend completing this on sunrise or sunset.
